Heidi Mortenson was born in Denmark. She grew up listening to her mother play the organ and her father repairing cars. She started with the accordion, moved on to the acoustic guitar and the piano, and finally electronic music. Today, Heidi Mortenson lives in Berlin. Her interest have broadened to include jazz, soul, gospel and folk music. By recording herself singing inside a washing machine, or by fixing telephones, microwaves and two-way radios she has achieved her own personal acoustic universe Mortenson, sometimes Nosnetrom, are forward and backward wonder-woman shows of light costumes, cardboard masks and thousands of other things.
