Are video games art? In early December, just after the festival had selected Hannes Bär and Jonas Oehrli’s project The Flipside of the Coin, the MOMA in New York launched a debate by buying 14 games including Pac Man, Tetris and SimCity. Bär and Oehrli invite visitors into their temporay Arcade Game Hall to discover 4 new games. However, behind the nostalgic pixelated look and the 8-bit sounds, you’ll stumble upon contemporary issues.
