Homage to Café Müller by Pina Bausch
Daria Deflorian and Antonio Tagliarini take on the hugely influential and seminal 20th century masterpiece Café Müller by choreographer and dancer Pina Bausch (1978). They approach the subject with respect and admiration, yet also with humour and distance. The duo search out key scenes, reproduce various sets of movements, and discuss the meaning of, and emotions in, this internationally acclaimed work. It is a journey that leads them inexorably down a path to their personal memories. What traces does art leave on life? How does a myth change within the space of more than 30 years? And how and by what means do we change?
