Invitation from a non-dancer to a professional
A meeting (confrontation) between a professional (dancer) and an amateur (César). An attempt (hope), a gamble (desire). What will happen (emerge)? What will come to light (break down)? It is the quest (creation) for a balance (union) between strangers (accomplices) who test their limits (weaknesses). To take a risk (a chance) on an improvised (unshackled) performance, to invent (uncover) the different (unique) ways of interacting with others (with oneself).
Neither dancer nor choreographer, César Vayssié shall endeavour to perform a duet with contemporary choreographers and performers. In Fribourg, it is Nicole Morel and Jeremy Nedd who will accompany the artist in this venture. With a sound system in the form of a black BMW, two city centre venues shall provide the backdrop for this largely improvised work.
