Sculpture Intervention Performance Sound
The Malaysian-born artist Rishin Singh constructs a very unique listening device from branches he collects in and around Fribourg and a pair of conventional earplugs. At the Arsen’alt, visitors choose a set of treephones from the display and set off on one of the walking tours around the neighbourhood proposed especially by the artist. The noise of the city evaporates, replaced with the intimate music created by the branches as they rustle in the wind and quiver with each step - an active and sensory experience.
