Operation Cognitive Language
In French and German, grammar is gendered. To make female contributions and aspects more visible, we have adopted as of this year a gender-neutral language in all of our texts. But a language that avoids bias toward a particular sex or social language challenges habits and needs to be learned, trained and even yet still to be invented. In this workshop, Pascal Gygax, a leading expert in the field of feminine/masculine mental representations, explains how to make women visible, readable and audible by using grammar as a vector of ideas and diversity. The curious and the sceptical are invited to hone their skills in the practice of gender-neutral language forms.
