In this quirky slide show, Aurore Jecker shares her quest for an unknown woman. During the Belluard’s 2017 edition, several people had told her that she bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain Helen W. Could this person be a better version of herself?
Aurore Jecker sets off to find Helen W. She makes her way to Basel on foot. Her path takes many twists and turns, which she documents in numerous photos. The quest for her stylish altera ego transformes into a search for meaning and purpose. With much humor, Aurore Jecker deftly weaves together unbelievable coincidences, bizarre situations and meaningful places. What transpires is a deep reflection on questions pertaining to identity and fantasy. Who am I? Who might I have been? How do I become someone else?
