Even before they could speak, brothers Erik & Harald Thys developed an obsession for cars. It was in the times of German craftsmanship superiority, Italian designers’ skills going back to the Roman Empire and Asian cars still coming from the far east. Forty years later cars anxiously try to reflect a cultural identity in a final attempt to mask their emptiness. An absurd rebellion against the hierarchy of knowledge in the form of a lecture, with images and films from the rich archives of the Thys brothers.
